Sarmatian Nation

A Sarmatian tribe, led by Vodkaschnapps has decided to settle in the Roman province of Macedonia. To get there, they had to first brush aside the intervening Dacian tribe, led by Dubolwhiskos, in which the Sarmatians prevailed

They were then opposed by the local Roman commander, G. Inand Tonicus, and his men, who were defending a stream, but the higher mobility Sarmatians outflanked them and forced a retreat. The Roman infantry retreated to a marching fort while Tonicus recruited another Sarmatian tribe as reinforcements and marched to relieve them. Vodkaschnapps recruited Dubolwhiskos' Dacians to storm the fort, which they did with great aplomb.

In a slightly complicated twist, Vodkaschnapps gave Dubolwhiskos the money the second Sarmatian tribe had received from the Romans to rescue the troops in the fort. As this had failed, the Romans wanted their money back and assaulted the Dacian capital at Temeshvekovar to get it back. They were ambushed and failed. Never ones to be put off by that, they tried again with the same result.

To further complicate matters, Dubolwhiskos had to face an invasion of German tribes who, after a close fight, forced a passage through the Dacian's land and into Roman territory proper.

Vodkaschnapps, in the meantime, led his men back into the plains to try to settle matters with the other tribe, led by his brother (or cousin, accounts vary, even from the leaders themselves). This dispute was settled in a heavy cavalry clash to Vodkaschnapps' advantage.
