A Very Mogul Civil War

This campaign attempts to model, in some vague way, the civil war which wracked the Mogul Empire in the late 1650s. The ailing of the Emperor, Shah Jahan sparked conflict between his four sons, a number of battles (which are ill-documented, at least in English) and the deaths of at least two sons (the other was presumed dead).

The campaign set up is described here. Wargames followed thick and fast. The first was between the southern states of Bijapur and Golconda, and had nothing, really, to do with the Moguls. The Golcondans prevailed.

A few months later Princes Dara and Murad faced off in Gujerat, which ended as a victory for Dara, although Murad escaped with both life and army. At the same time (or in the same month, anyway) former allied Prince Aurungazeb squared up against Mir Jumla, chief minister of Golconda. This was a bit of a grudge match, as they were former allies. Mir Jumla prevailed, wounding and capturing the prince.
